Production Update: Enamel Pin Prototypes, Packaging & Shadow Variant

Hello again!
We've got another exciting production update to share as we continue moving toward the finish line.
Enamel Pins Nearly Ready for Production
The first finished enamel pin samples have arrived, and we're thrilled with how they turned out! The colors are vibrant, the line work is crisp, and the overall quality exceeded our expectations. We've reviewed the samples, made a few very minor notes, and they're now headed into final production.
These pins are going to be an awesome addition to the campaign rewards, and we can't wait for everyone to have them in hand. (And we can't wait to reveal something special waiting in the wings as well 💊🙂💊)
Packaging Samples Are Looking Great
We've also received the first structural "white box" samples for the companion figures and accessory packs. These plain white mock-ups allow us to verify the box construction, window placement, insert fit, and overall presentation before final artwork is applied.
Everything is fitting together beautifully so far. The figures display nicely through the custom window, the accessory trays fit securely, and the overall presentation is exactly what we envisioned. Once these structural samples receive final approval, we'll move into printed production packaging.
Shadow Variant Update
The only version that still needs a little extra attention is the Shadow Edition.
Because this release uses a unique translucent smoke-colored vinyl, the factory has encountered a few material-related challenges while dialing in the manufacturing process. This isn't uncommon with specialty vinyls, and we'd much rather the factory take the time to get it right than rush into production.
We're currently awaiting the factory's recommended solution and updated samples before giving final approval. As soon as we have more information, we'll be sure to share it with everyone.
Moving Closer Every Week
Every update brings us one step closer to full production. The deco approvals are nearly complete, the enamel pins are heading into manufacturing, the packaging structure has been approved, and we're working through the final material details on the Shadow Edition.
Thank you all for your continued patience and support throughout this journey. We know it's exciting to watch everything come together, and we're just as eager to get these into your hands as you are.
More updates coming soon!

Production Update: DECO SAMPLES + Enamel Pins & Art Prints
20 days ago
– Tue, Jul 07, 2026 at 09:02:52 PM
Hi everyone!
We've got another exciting production update to share as I AM NOT BROKEN – Bag Lady continues moving toward full production.
(Almost) Final Deco Sample images Have Arrived!
The factory has sent over the latest painted deco sample images for several editions of the figure, including Prototypical, Glow-in-the-Dark, Happy Pills, and Heartbreaker.
Overall, we're extremely happy with how they're turning out! As expected, with first-pass samples, we've made a few notes for minor paint and deco adjustments, and this is the result thus far. We will have some more minor notes on these samples, and once those revisions are completed and approved, the factory will begin full production.
The only remaining edition still in development is Shadow (the clear smoke vinyl version), which requires a different manufacturing process. We'll be sharing updates on that version as soon as those samples arrive.
Enamel Pins & Art Prints
Production is also moving ahead on the campaign extras!
Our enamel pins have reached the tooling stage, and we've received images of the completed metal molds along with the first metal blanks before enamel colors are applied. It's always fun seeing how these are manufactured, and they're looking fantastic so far. (We did opt to go with soft enamel over hard enamel pins as this is what the factory recommended for this specific design. Stay tuned for final images.)
We've also received sample proofs of the 11" x 17" art prints, featuring Shawn Coss's incredible artwork. The prints look fantastic, and we're excited to get these into your hands alongside the figures.
Schedule - Still on Track
At this point, we're still on schedule and getting very close to the start of full production. There are a few final approvals to complete, but everything is progressing well, and we're excited to move into the next phase.
As always, thank you for your continued support and patience. Every approval brings us one step closer to delivering Bag Lady to all of you, and we can't wait to share the next update!

Production Update: Sticker Proofs, Foil Prints, Tampo Art & Shipping Status
about 1 month ago
– Mon, Jun 15, 2026 at 07:25:37 PM
Hi everyone,
We wanted to share another quick production update as we continue moving forward with I AM NOT BROKEN – Bag Lady.
Sticker Proofs Are Looking Great
We're excited to report that the first sticker proofs have arrived and are looking fantastic. The artwork is reproducing beautifully, and we're currently reviewing final details before giving approval for production. It's always exciting to see Shawn's artwork begin to take physical form, and these are shaping up to be a great addition to the project.
(We're even going to throw in an EXTRA 3" AMN logo sticker to upgrade this pack!)
Foil Giclée Print Samples
Thanks to @mikeylowlife from @anymeansnecessaryclothing for sending this sample of our exclusive 16" x 20" FOIL Giclée Art Print, featuring original artwork by Shawn Coss. The print quality looks fantastic, capturing all of the raw emotion, texture, and detail that made us fall in love with this piece in the first place.
And that FOIL is stunning!!
Each print will be LIMITED TO 50 PIECES EACH and professionally produced on premium stock and hand-signed, making it a truly special collectible for fans of the project.
There are still some available on our BACKERKIT PRE-ORDER PAGE if you want to grab one before they're gone.
We'll be sharing additional photos and previews as final approvals are completed.
Tampo Print Layout Approvals
We're also reviewing the first tampo print layout samples from the factory. These layouts determine the exact placement of all printed graphics on the figure, including the Bag Lady's paper bag artwork and key design elements.
Once approved, the factory uses these layouts to create the final tampo-print masks used during production. While they may look simple, this is a critical step in ensuring all graphics are aligned correctly and look their best on the final figure. So far, the results are looking great, and we're working closely with the factory to finalize approvals and keep production moving forward.
Shipping & Production Timeline
The question we get asked most often is: "Are we still on schedule?"
The answer is yes.
At this time, production remains on schedule and we're continuing to move through the normal approval process with the factory.
The next major milestone is receiving the first deco (paint) samples. These samples will allow us to evaluate the final colors, paint applications, and overall factory execution before authorizing full production.
As with any collectible project, there is always a possibility that the deco samples may require revisions or adjustments. If significant changes are needed, it could result in a slight shipping delay while corrections are made.
However, our goal is the same as yours: deliver the best possible product while staying on schedule. We'll do everything we can to minimize any delays and keep the project moving forward.
As always, we'll continue to share updates and be transparent throughout the process.
Thank you again for your support, patience, and enthusiasm. Seeing this project come to life has been incredible, and we're excited to show you the next stage very soon.

🚨 Production Update – Bag Lady Pre-Production Molding Sample In-Hand! 🚨
2 months ago
– Thu, May 14, 2026 at 07:40:49 AM
Hi everyone,
We wanted to share a really exciting milestone in the production journey for the I AM NOT BROKEN – Bag Lady Vinyl Companion Figure…
Our first pre-production tooling master sample has officially arrived from the factory and we’ve now had a chance to review it in-hand!
First off — seeing this piece physically realized after months of sculpting, engineering, revisions, and development is honestly surreal. What started as Shawn Coss original artwork and digital concepts is now becoming a real collectible, and we couldn’t be happier with how things are progressing so far.
This sample was produced specifically for factory review and approval purposes, so there are still a handful of adjustments and refinements we’ll be making before final production begins. We’re currently going through the figure carefully and compiling notes for the factory regarding small tweaks, fit tolerances, and final polish details.
That said… this thing is looking REALLY good already.
The articulation came out great and feels solid while still allowing for expressive posing. The sculpted details are translating beautifully into the physical vinyl, and the overall presence of the figure in-hand is exactly what we hoped it would be — creepy, emotional, heavy, and strangely comforting all at once.
The factory has done an incredible job bringing the design to life so far, and we’re excited to continue refining it into the best final product possible for everyone who supported this project.

We’ll continue sharing updates as revisions progress, including:
- Additional prototype refinements
- Packaging previews
- Accessory updates
- Paint/deco development
- Ancillary items like pins and stickers
We know waiting during production can be tough, but we truly appreciate everyone sticking with us through the process. Transparency is important to us, and we want to continue showing you the real behind-the-scenes development as this figure moves toward manufacturing.
And for anyone who may have missed the original campaign…
🖤 Pre-orders are still available now through our website as well as BigBadToyStore 🖤
Thank you all again for believing in this project and helping us bring Bag Lady into the world.
